LeafSnap is a useful app for plant lovers that allows its users to identify any type of plant by using the camera on their Android device. In addition, with this app, you can keep track of your own plants and what kind of care they need, helping your plant friends stay healthy and live for a long time. In this sense, the app is similar to the popular 'Picture This'.

LeafSnap works as follows: when you open the app, the camera icon and gallery icon mean you can either take a photo of a plant on the spot or select one from your camera roll. Once you've chosen the picture, you'll have to let the app know whether it's a photo of a leaf, flower, tree, etc., and then the plant identifier will give you a list of plants that best match the image you've sent. Tap on any of them to see detailed information about the plant and its preferences when it comes to watering, soil, the amount of light, and so on.

One of the most interesting features of LeafSnap is that it allows you to create a sort of 'plant library', where you can save information about as many plants as you like and check it whenever you want. This is especially interesting if you have several kinds of plants at home and don't want to get confused about the type of care required by each one. Additionally, you can create alerts and add them to a calendar, setting reminders for watering, fertilizing, pruning, etc. for each plant.
